Extension & alterations, Leigh Woods

PrivateResidential

This substantial house in Leigh Woods, Bristol was built in the 1930s and the owners saw the opportunity to remodel and extend to improve the accommodation.

The brief was to provide a replacement garage for 2 cars with a new guest suite at first floor level. In addition a new sitting room wing was designed as a library study with views into the garden.

The design enhanced the appearance of the house and re-orientated the entrance towards the driveway approach.

The wing was constructed using a green oak frame to provide interior character and quality for the new room.
