There is a high demand for small flats and the scheme provided 14 mostly 2 bedroom units.
Horfield Road is a sloping street with existing houses dating from the early 1900s. The design is for a stepped terraced building on 3 floors and adopts a traditional approach to fit into the character of the Kingsdown Conservation Area.
The front doors are set back from the street and provide access to ground floor flats and the main staircases. The layout was arranged to achieve the scale and appearance of conventional terraced housing which is typical of the area.
