Whiteladies Road Cinema

CommercialResidentialHeritage

The 100 year old property on Whiteladies Road was unused and neglected for over a decade. The property, formerly known as the Whiteladies Picture House, is a landmark building in Clifton and has been the subject of numerous attempts to find a new use to ensure the future of the building.

The project, which is scheduled for completion in 2016, is for the re-creation of a vibrant new 3 screen cinema with various ancillary spaces and new flats in the original Victorian terrace.

While the re-use of the building as a cinema may seem to be a simple and logical development, it is important to understand that a modern cinema requires a significantly improved environment for the 21st Century audience.

The design is a carefully balanced scheme which respects the historic character of the building.

The new development will provide Whiteladies Road with a good quality modern cinema which will ensure that the building has a successful and useful future.
