WH Architects is an established group of designers and professionals. We are a dynamic practice and bring together a range of experience, and skill to deliver a high quality service for our clients in the complex world of the built environment.
We are based in Kingsdown, Bristol and also work across the South of England and wherever our expertise is needed. Our experience allows us to work closely with developers, institutional and private clients and we have a strong awareness of the need for feasible and viable solutions.
Brian Woodward – DipArch RIBA ARB
Brian graduated from Hammersmith College of Art and Building in 1976 and has been a Chartered Architect for over 30 years. He enjoys a challenge and has taken on a variety of complex and demanding projects while developing the architectural and design practice in Bristol.
Brian is a co-founder director of WH Architects, having originally formed Woodward Architectural Practice in 1986.

Louise Hambly – BA (Hons) DipArch RIBA ARB
Having graduated from Hull School of Architecture, Louise has been in architectural practice for over 25 years – she is a co-founder director of WH Architects.
Louise has worked throughout the UK and spent a number of years in South America before relocating to Bristol and joining Brian in 1996.
Bringing her flair for design and ability to listen to clients, Louise often provides solutions that add value beyond their initial concepts. She gives each project a high degree of personal attention and this has led to many of her clients returning with further projects.
Helen Page – Bsc (Hons) BArch RIBA ARB
After graduating from the Welsh School of Architecture in 2000, Helen moved to Bristol where she qualified as a Chartered Architect in 2002.
Helen has experience in a wide range of projects from large scale housing schemes to small extensions, heritage projects and Listed Buildings. Having a particular interest in the re-use and renovation of existing buildings, she was Project Architect for The Refinery and Triangle Casino projects in Bristol along with numerous conversion and residential schemes.
Luca Maldacea – BSc (Hons)
Since graduating from the University of the West of England with a degree in Architectural Technology and Design in 2007, Luca has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience over a broad range of projects from sensitive listed building alterations to high rise apartments.
Luca takes a particular interest in detailed design ensuring a meticulous approach to projects and their appearance. He also enjoys working through difficult design solutions for maximising tight sites and spaces, ensuring each project is optimised to its full potential.
